About N. Sea Oyster Co.

Conor MacNair is a nephew of John Finger, the founder of Hog Island Oyster Company in California, who gave him his first oyster at about nine. He and Alyssa MacNair studied at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and started the farm in 2017, as the state was opening up shellfish leases. Their base, The Oyster Barn in Hampstead, has an oyster bar open on weekends. They occasionally harvest a second oyster, the green-gilled Divine Pines.
